On August 31, 2020 a Ground Breaking Ceremony was held on site for the Mayfield West Phase 2 Community. In attendance was Premier Doug Ford; Municipal Affairs and Housing Minister Steve Clark; Solicitor General Sylvia Jones; Caledon Mayor Allan Thompson, several Caledon Councillors and staff, and representatives of the Mayfield West Phase 2 Landowner Group.
The ceremony marked the infusion of over 500 new jobs, housing for over 7,000 new residents, transit-supportive and complete community development, and the introduction of Smart City initiatives to the Town of Caledon. The event was well-received by all those in attendance. GSAI was proud to take part in the formal Ground Breaking of the brand-new Mayfield West Phase 2 Community.
